My debut album is here.
We need music. As the pandemic took over our lives, I dug into my art. Music has always been transformational for me - a source of joy, a way to stay calm - and I knew I needed to share it. I created "I Wish It So" with my pal and trusted music director Howard Breitbart at holiday time in 2020. The show started as a way to share hope during dark times, and became a zany, heartfelt romp through family holiday insanity, with more than a little emotional truth. Some of the tunes are holiday classics; unexpected choices speak of light and comfort despite those dark times. The songs and stories for those online evenings struck a chord with the at-home viewers, bringing some much-needed light at a low moment for our world and breaking records for online views. Imagine our joy when Nevermore Records saw the potential for an album.
“I Wish It So” brings together the threads from that evening into a single song cycle that ranges from crystalline joy to lushly sensual, and tells a complete story of hope, despair, and hope renewed.
